After a program execution, windows usually retains the dll files related to that program in the main memory which helps the system to restarts the same faster. But usually this generates low memory problems. To get rid of this highly irritating phenomenon do:

Open the registry and move to.

�HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE --> Microsoft --> Windows --> CurrentVersion --> Explorer�.

Select "Edit --> New --> key"

The default name of key is "New key #1"

Change the name of new key as �AlwaysUnloadDll�

Assign the value 1 to the string value (default) of this key in the right pane by double clicking on it.

Note : Whenever you want to restore the original behaviour, change the value to 0.

Disable automatic restart

If there is a major error on your system, Windows XP restarts the machine by default to record the error message for troubleshooting purposes. To disable this feature:

Go to Control Panel --> System.

In the �System Properties� window, click on the �Advanced� tab.

In the �Startup and Recovery� area and click �Settings�.

In the Startup and Recovery window, clear the �Automatically restart� check box.

Click �OK� in the �Startup and Recovery window�.

Click �OK� in the �System Properties window�. After this when a problem halts the system, the PC will not automatically reboot. It will ask the user to reboot the system manually.
